The top on this guitar is a beautiful piece of bookmatched claro walnut. It is a beautiful deep color with some nice figuring. Walnut is similar to mahogany in tone. It is a slightly harder wood so it will accent the highs more than mahogany alone. The middle piece of wood is alder which will help ensure the low mids stay tight. The back is mahogany and of course we can never say enough about the beautiful tones of mohogany with its even tempered mids and tight lows.
This RP has a Wilkinson tremolo. Maple neck with rosewood fretboard. Graphtec Tusq nut. Grover locking tuners.
Pickups by Kent Armstrong. MP112 in neck and middle(R) position and a WPUJB humbucker in the bridge position.
